This very limited release of our Unaged Malt Spirit offers a rare opportunity to experience the character of the spirit that will eventually become Wisgi Môn Welsh Whisky — before the influence of oak, time and maturation.

Distilled by us here on the Isle of Anglesey / Ynys Môn, this spirit has been bottled from Batch 2026/6 at 62.5% VOL.

Before the Cask

Whisky develops much of its familiar colour, aroma and flavour during maturation in oak.

Before that happens, there is the new make spirit: clear, powerful and full of the underlying character created through fermentation and distillation.

This special release gives you the opportunity to taste that starting point for yourself.

Our Wisgi Môn spirit is being laid down in cask to mature into future releases of Welsh whisky, but a tiny quantity from Batch 2026/6 has been reserved for this special bottling.

Each bottle is individually numbered, making this a genuinely limited snapshot of the Wisgi Môn story and the spirit before maturation begins to transform it.

Wisgi Môn is our journey into Welsh whisky production at Llanfairpwll Distillery.

This release captures the spirit at the very start of that journey — before years of maturation in oak add their own character.

For whisky enthusiasts, it offers the opportunity to explore where those future flavours begin and, in years to come, compare the unaged spirit with the mature Wisgi Môn whisky it helped create.

Once these 30 bottles are gone, this release is gone.

This product is not whisky.

It is an unaged malt spirit and has not undergone the maturation required for it to be described as Welsh whisky.

Due to its high bottling strength of 62.5% VOL, we recommend enjoying it responsibly and experimenting with the addition of a small amount of water when tasting.
