Contract Distilling & White Label Case Studies

At Llanfairpwll Distillery, we are proud to support businesses across Wales and beyond through contract distilling and white label spirit production.

From bespoke recipe development to finished, retail-ready bottles, we work closely with our partners to bring unique spirits to life — all produced here on the Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Môn), North Wales.

Below are a selection of projects we’ve delivered for hospitality venues, visitor attractions and local brands.

🌿 Melin Llynon Gin

In 2019, the team at Melin Llynon approached us to create their own premium gin — made on Anglesey and inspired by the historic windmill and its surroundings.

After visiting the mill and walking the grounds, our Head Distiller Rob Laming developed multiple recipe variants, drawing inspiration from botanicals and natural elements around the site. The Melin Llynon team selected their preferred variant and then progressed the bottle design and branding to reflect the mill’s iconic identity.

The gin launched in August 2020 and has gone on to be a highly successful product for the mill.

🎉 Cain Gin (10th Anniversary Release)

In late 2020, Rhian, the owner of Cain, contacted us as her business approached its 10th anniversary. She wanted a bespoke gin to celebrate the milestone.

We worked together across all aspects of the project — from flavour direction and development through to guidance around licensing, packaging decisions and launch support — resulting in a unique celebratory gin aligned with the Cain brand.

⛰ Great Orme Gin Range

In 2022, we took on the production of the established Great Orme Gin range.

This project involved carefully matching existing recipes to ensure a smooth transition between producers, maintaining consistency for customers and stockists while providing reliable ongoing production and supply.

🍸 Black Boy Inn (Caernarfon)

We worked with the team at the historic Black Boy Inn in Caernarfon to create a branded range of spirits designed specifically for their venue and customers.

The project included the creation of:

  • A bespoke vodka
  • A house gin
  • A spiced rum

Each product was developed to suit the pub’s identity and finished with branded presentation ready for back-bar service and retail sales.

🌊 Tavern on the Bay

Tavern on the Bay approached us to develop a bespoke house gin to complement their coastal setting and premium drinks offering.

Working closely with the team, we created a distinctive flavour profile designed for a standout G&T serve and a memorable bottle that customers could enjoy on-site or take home.

🍊 Chandlers Brasserie

Chandlers Brasserie wanted a gin with a real connection to their venue — something personal and locally rooted.

We developed a unique recipe using fruit grown in their own garden, creating a spirit with an authentic story and a genuine sense of place — a bottle that customers could only experience through Chandlers.

🍕 Hangin’ Pizza (Betws-y-Coed)

We partnered with Hangin’ Pizza in Betws-y-Coed to create a full branded spirits range featuring their bold, distinctive artwork on the labels.

The project included:

  • Gin
  • Vodka
  • Spiced Rum

This collaboration is a great example of how hospitality businesses can extend their brand into premium retail-ready products, offering customers something memorable and unique.

🌿 Rhosneigr Gin

We worked with the team behind Rhosneigr Gin to develop a distinctive spirit that reflected the character and coastal identity of Rhosneigr on Anglesey.

From flavour development through to production, we supported the creation of their own unique gin and helped guide the project through to a successful release to market.
