The Story of Anglesey Rum Co – Welsh Rum with Island Spirit

Nestled in the heart of the Isle of Anglesey, Anglesey Rum Co was born from a simple idea – to create a truly Welsh rum from scratch. In 2021, we set out to craft a spirit that captures the character of our island: rugged coastlines, historic lighthouses, and a proud tradition of doing things properly.

Unlike many rums that are imported and blended, every drop of Anglesey Rum is made on-site at our distillery. We ferment pure cane molasses with Anglesey’s soft Welsh water, distil slowly, and age our rum right here on the island. No shortcuts, no artificial colours, flavours, or sweeteners – just honest craftsmanship and natural flavour.

The Lighthouse Range

Our core collection, the Lighthouses of Anglesey range, celebrates the island’s iconic coastal guardians. Each rum takes inspiration from a lighthouse and the seas that surround it:

• Penmon White Rum – smooth, clean, and versatile; perfect for cocktails.

• Skerries Dark Rum – rich and warming with notes of molasses, oak, and spice.

• Llanddwyn Spiced Rum - infused with carefully selected spices for a lightly spiced rum
  

• South Stack Golden Rum – aged in virgin American Oak for a bold rum with no additions.

Every bottle pays homage to Anglesey’s maritime heritage, while offering something unique for rum lovers to enjoy.
